Default plz identify this module... abs computer?

What is this....? It was under the dash, to the left of the steering shaft.



Is this the windshield wiper motor? Also buried in the dash area...

I typed the part # in GM parts direct, hit to "MODULE AS $5xx.00..."

Anyone?

not sure what it is but i have one if you need one....mine is out of a 95 as well.

gauges, odometer, headlights, things like that are controlled via the BCM.

Surprised it ran tho, it should be storing the VATS code too

That is the ABS module. If your car has traction control, it's the ABS and traction control module. Body control module is located on the passenger side near the glove box.

It should be the BCM if it's under the driver's side, maybe mine is different b/c it's a 97

Still ABS computer. That box either has ABS or ABS/Traction control. There were NO body control modules that came in metal cases on F bodies. Body control modules have ALWAYS come in the black plastic "clamshell" style case and they have ALWAYS been on the passenger side on an F body.

It's the ABS module no matter how you slice it....

Last, 1995 Camaros don't even have a BCM. They only have a keyless entry module that is located in the passenger side kick panel.
