Question Kenne Bell 2.8H or Magna Charger MP2300s?

I just bought a 2004 Z06 and I am planning on putting in a 427ci engine with a blower ASAP. The thing is I am not sure on which blower to go with? Other I go with the Kenne Bell 2.8H or the Magna Charger MP2300. Which one do you all suggest? I would like to use a LS7 type head but do you all know if the company's have these blowers with the LS7 ports? Last question what are both of these blowers selling for? Thanks for the help.

MTI Georgia has the MP2300 TVS kit for the LS7. http://www.mtiracing.com/artmaverick...argedls-7.html

I don't think Kenne Bell has a kit for the LS7 yet.

G-Force (sponsor on here) just finished this 408 with a 2.6 Kenne bell check the thread. They are thinking the 2.6 is too small for a 408 let alone a 427, you may look into a 2.8 or a 3.3. It would be a badass setup either way.

The 2300 is still not for sale, although I keep trying! I have used the Harrop SC that is based on the Eaton rotors and it works very well, but they only have a kit for a "hot rod" type engine or a G8 so far. The 2300 should work very well when it is done.

KB 2.8 is the biggest they make, but Whipple has a nice 3.3ltr unit.

I wouldn't put anything on it until you find one with at least 3.3 lters displacement. Everyone putting 2.6 and 2.8 on run into boost problems with motors over 402/8.

Well the 2.8L seemed to work pretty good on a 408 and he is now building a 427 with a 2.8L so we will see.

I read somewhere that the intake can be changed? IF so can I give Beck a call and ask him to build a diff intake to fit a LS7 type port?

what about the dragon whipple, I believe it is a 3.3 and says it will support 1000hp. It mounts to the side of the engine so you could run whatever heads you wanted.

How much? MTI racing has a nice package but its quite expensive... but it also includes their stage two extreme.

733rwhp on stock block 7psi. Not bad!!

On the dragon website it says the blower makes 517rwhp and 499rwtq on a bone stock
c6 with 6psi, is also has a c5 dyno with 530rwtq and 499rwhp on 5psi, but it doesnt say if it is stock or not. The whipple is a 3.3ltr though. Has anyone on the boards used this kit yet. I thought delta t said he was trying to rig that setup on his 5.3.

a guy on the corvette forum that was heaily invloded in the developemnt of the KB is currently building a 454 that he is bolting a 2.8 on top of.

he has stated that the biggest problem is the intake to the SC. he is currently doing something about it and its probably going to be an option for the stock kit soon!

Chris.
