When to replace polishing wheels

When to replace polishing wheels Just curious when a wheel is shot. I did a good bit of polishing and it seems like the longer I went the worse my polishing got. There is crap in my wheels and I rake them out but it doesn't seem to help. I didn't buy good eastwood wheels..just some cheapies at the hardware store.

I didn't buy good eastwood wheels..just some cheapies at the hardware store.
