well i am trading in my 2800 1.9 stall for a 3600 2.53 stall.
I have ran a 11.706 @ 117.22 with a 1.70 60'
mods are full bolt ons, 3.73 12 bolt. 3350 race weight, tubular suspension and 245/50-16 nitto 555r tires. tr224 cam and ls6 heads
assuming i get good traction what kind of gains may i see with the stall change?
I will be going to the track soon in a few weeks to get the results anyway but i just want something to shoot for.
My guess is a 11.49 @116 with a 1.60 60'
make a guess and if you get it right i will ups you a snickers bar.

From my experience, that stall should pick up well. LS1's power band is shifted forward on a graph. I guess the big issue is what brand stall. Some are better then others.

Provided it is a good stall....I would think you would gain .02 in et.......and around 1 mph.
Just a ballpark figure, but I think it is possible!

My guess is more than 2 hundredths! lol
If you don't light those Nittos up I am going to guess a little over a tenth. I would throw a set of ET Drags on there to help maximize your gain especially with that 60'.

I say you are going to break'em loose every time.. That 3600, 2.5 STR is going to hit harder then those little 245's can handle.

Agreed 100%!
That's why I suggested the ET Drags...

If you were going to run a MT DR, you might have a chance. But a nitto, nope.

Thats exactly what a guy in an 04 cobra told me. He had the mickeys and i had the nittos.
My. 11.8 @117 1.70 60'
His 12.20 @119 2.00 60'
I recommended nittos to him after wards .LOL.
I know the mickeys will to better on my car but i still have the nittos and plan on burning them up before the mickeys are purchased.
I just got the 3600 in tonight BTW and the nittos aren't doing to bad. Hopefully i will have some new times in a few weeks with the nittos being pushed to their limit.
My best 60' on the 245nittos were 1.67. Ill be lucky to pull a 1.60-1.65

You should drop a tenth or two, depending on if you hook...:D

Nice... Still hard to believe its a nitto, and a 245 at that. I guess you had the right recipe to make it stick. What did you end up running??

I have been running the same stall for years. Belive it or not its a 4000 stall from Fuddle.. That 11.66 run was a month after I put together my H/C, I think it was 116mph.

Here it goes.
Went to gateway last night and ran;
1.599 60'
7.36 1/8
92.36 mph
11.613 1/4
116.27
Still on the 245 nittos!!!!!!! the car went 11.6 the first 5 runs with 1.59-1.64 60' times
towards the end of the night it started spinnin to a 1.70 60' and 11.7
other then that it was consistant

looks like you need a better rear sway bar, bmr makes a real good one.

It may just be the photo but it looks like the car is leaning hard
waterbug1999
09-24-2008, 09:47 PM
Yea, it was leaning hard and bottoming out causing the wheels to chatter on the rebound.. I dint think it was that bad till I stoped the video.
If new shocks dont cure it, then I guess a thicker SB is on its way.

Ask 02blkws6. he is runnin in the 1.50 60' range and said the bmr sway was a huge imrovement over the stocker. Much more consistent and straighter launches

I would check the shocks to make sure they are good (probably are). Looks like a perfect candidate for a rear anti rollbar :D
Here is a link to the one we offer

Does anything have to be welded on??
BMR Tech
09-26-2008, 12:28 PM
Yes, The U brackets have to be welded to the rear end housing and the plates with the studs on them are welded to the car.
