Default bad miss v-6

i have 1 1997 firebird with a 3.8 v-6 i got traded for my bmw. It has a bad miss sometimes accelerating around half throttle it will start shaking like its not running on all cilinders, i put new plugs, wires, fulefilter, and a can of seafoam, it dosent happen as often but it still does it sometimes, what is making ti do that, and how do i fix it

Let me guess. The problem developed before you changed the plugs and wires and a reasonable person would expect that to solve the problem, right? And it will run fine usually until you put a load on the engine?

What may have occured, or what happened to me, was that I had a bad plug wire that burned through on the bottom where they run over the engine. And that blew out one of the 3 coils in the coil pack. Have the coils tested for output, I'll bet one is blown. Easy to change and not real expensive I don't think.

Oh, I had a '97 and a '01 V-6 3800 before I got this car.

can almost gaurantee is a coil, ive been through 3 of them in 3 years of owning my car.

If it is a coil, try to get an OEM replacement. The MSD Blaster coils have a tendency of wearing out way too fast on the V6s for some odd reason.

the service engine soon lite is still on though, how do i make it go off
