Autometer 5" Tach Locations???

I have mine on the hard plastic surrounding the guages at about 2 o'clock....with my lite--and a 2" oil pressure guage to the left a couple inches...{Autometer]

Far left corner of the dash up aginst the "A" Pillar, Shift light at about 5 o'clock. You can kind of see it in my sig pic.
Found some pics, sorry still a work in progress. But I used only hardware that came with the tach aswell.

I just placed mine where I though it looked good using the pedestal mount that came with it. Then used a Sharpe to mark the locations of the holes in the pedestal, then drilled small pilot holes. Took the tach out of the pedestal, Then screwed the pedestal to to the a pillar. Put the tach back in and boom its done.

What are the big diff between the models of the auto meter tach's..... what sould I look for as in lighting(through the dial) etc. I just want to make sure I get what I need. The unltra light II seems to be popular.....is it just due to the color or is there any bennifit

Not to mention the factory tach is super slow. I had just a shift light before I did the cam and the difference was crazy.
