Default New cam, and tune and what not...help.

I am pretty up to speed I think on my automotive knowledge but I need some advice from one of the experts around here. I recently bought the CC306, LT hookers, I have a set or pac springs, comp locks and retainers and seats. I will be deleting the egr, and air of the car when I swap the cam. I will also be running true duals. My question is since I have some spray on there is there a way to stay conservitive on the timing when I get my tune so I can run this cam and still spray? I really don't have the money to go buy a digital 6 or something right now to pull timing when I spray. Are there any options where I can still utilize the cam and the spray? I would still like to have some ***** when I am not spraying as I don't spray that often. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, I have heard of deleting the evap system? Is there any pro's to this and what is involved in doing this. I already know how to delete the other 2.

Thanks

D

Also can hptuners tune my car being its an obd2 97?

Yes that should be very easy for any tuner. How much are you spraying? What i would do is bring a couple full bottles and some jets to your tuning session and have him dial it all in for you.

Not that i know of. With the Lt1 you have either Tunercats or Lt1edit. Im pretty sure that's our only options as far as tuning software unless you go to a stand alone system. I personally use Tunercats. Its pretty cheap and its not vin locked like lt1 edit meaning i can tune any 94-95 lt1 car. EFI live is a ls1 thing.
