Default Bad hesitation leading to car shutting off

Okay, to start off, the car is a 93 (speed density). the o2's are unplugged so it is running in open loop constantly (car is not tuned yet so runs real bad with the o2s plugged in). The car ran fine for a while up until today. Started bogging around 2k rpms driving around, then later in the day, it was bogging (backfiring through the intake) at low RPM's (accelerating from a red light) - it got so bad that it actually died on me. I would give it gas to save it, and instead of rpms going high, they would drop and car would shut off. I parked it at a gas station and called a few friends, we tried different ICM's and coils, but to no avail. Once the car starts up it revs fine and sounds real healthy for about a minute or so. After that it starts hesitating and bogging and backfiring through the intake when gas is applied. Any ideas?!? im so stumped!! gahhh!!

did you check and see if your getting spark on your plug?? is your firing order right? backfiring can be caused from the timing being off and firing order being wrong...also do a fuel pressure test and noid light test...it might have enough fuel going to it from the prime but not enough consistent fuel going to it to keep it running

firing order is correct. I'll check fuel pressure, although fuel is somehow getting into the intake (hence the flames shooting out the throttle body). but ill run a noid light test and check fuel pressure

I was running and MSD coil and it shorted-out at the harness plug that goes into it. Couldn't see it, just smelled it burning. The new plug cost me around $40! I went back to the stock coil and haven't had any problems yet.
