Me vs H/c foxbody.
I was hanging out at the local meet tonight and a few of my friends talked me into running a H/c fox with slicks it looked ratted but i heard alot of "fast" things about it. The race was negotiated that id give him 1 car and the break so everyone piles into their cars and we went out to the local spot, I clean my tires off(no need to tear them to shreds i had 15lbs of air in them and they are M/T street radials). Fast forward to the race. I flash my lights giving him the ok that im ready, me being set a car back. He "moves" then the car falls on its face because he lost fuel pressure or ran out of fuel... something happened to his car or he just got scared at how fast i put distance on him. By the time i grabbed 2nd he was at least 8 cars back and i passed the 1/4 mile mark and went back to the spot. It was for 100$ but i didnt take his money and we agreed to run again sometime soon, i guess you could say im a good sportsman.
Just my evening story.

Sounds like he just pulled one over on you...should have taken the money b/c he was just seeing how fast you were. Now he'll prolly improve his car to wax you, so you better step up as well if you race him again

ALWAYS TAKE THE MONEY...
It's guys like you that make street racing fun!
(The setup is where it's at and losing the battle is NOT losing the war...)
Be careful going up with him next time...
Just my jaded experience here....
