Question think this cam will work
So a buddy o mine has this cam off his gto he will sell me for 200

He also has a stock gto cam for 100, Think it will work in our cars?

stock one should be ok. The 222 has too much lift, you would have to ditch the DoD lifters.

So if we disable the DOD so it won't activate, and change the lifters, we can run a bigger cam? I know the 5.3L trucks with AFM/DOD whatever have been swapping in bigger cams since over a year ago.

Yeah if you take out DOD its just like a normal motor....

So the smaller 224R for the LS1 would be more of a larger cam for our 325, I'm guessing. I'd love to have a lopey idle!

Use same cam with similar lifts/durations, but on a more aggresive lobe, with a tighter LSA and centerlines.
