The LSA CTS-V, Corvette ZR1 and Challenger SRT8.

They picked up the trio in San Francisco and drove them to Reno. It should be a cool episode.

We caught them at Twin Peaks, and they tried to sell the Challenger to a co-worker because Dodge would not provide one so they bought one. Got a couple shots on the cell phone of the cars, and Clarkson stated he actually really likes the Corvettes; and seemed dismayed that he is portrayed as disliking them. Of course that could be to mollify the two that were there and own Corvettes... heheh... Seemed like a pretty cool guy though!

I wonder what they will throw out this time. I hope they are not to hard on us :P

can not wait! I was hoping he'd test it last season. Top gear wont be on again till october and I doubt this will be the first episode. Aww man something to finally look forward to with the coming of winter.

I mean they really can't compare the 3 head to head, so it should be one of those "for love of the car" episodes. I cannot wait for this series, it's going to be great.Maybe they'll do the Viper this series too. Jeremy loved the last ones "lunacy" and how it could write its own name.

Richard would definately get the Challenger. Any die-hard Top Gear fan could have told you that. He was in love with the old one and I bet he :drool: over the new one. And I doubt JC would hate on the corvette. he loves the c6s, esp the Z06. He'll probably love this one as well, although he will show it as hard to swallow.

Get ready for tons of fat American, incest,fast food on every corner, don't know about how to build car jokes though. I mean, they have to play to their main audience, England. Jeremy has to be a little rude and brash, the show is partially a comedy afterall, which makes him a comedian.

I cannot wait to see this race/comparo :)

The presenters might be out in Vietnam this week but that doesn’t mean the rest of the production team is lazing about smoking cigars and playing that Reliant Space Shuttle game on this website, oh deary me no.

For one thing, there’s all the stuff we’ve already shot for the next series, now being cut together in a furious fashion at the TG edit facility in London’s fashionable Soho.

Chief amongst these is another foreign jaunt in which Jeremy, Richard and James were dispatched to the United States to investigate a new generation of American muscle cars.

Obviously Detroit Iron enthusiast Hammond was beside himself with excitement at such a task but Jeremy arrived in deeply cynical mood whilst James just wished they were going to a place where you could get a decent cup of tea and some beef Hoola Hoops.

So you might be expecting another one of those items where Top Gear points out that all American cars are completely rubbish. And for once, you might be slightly wrong.

Clarkson was also just injured in a head on crash during filming of Top Gear.

Damn..any more info on that? Was it while they were our in Vietnam or somewhere out there? Hope he's ok and not as hurt as Richard Hammond was when he flipped the rocket car.

Any idea when the ZR1 episode might air? This year? 3 months? 6?
