Default 2000 formula vs turbo integra

So today I was just heading home on the hwy doing about 70 when i see a red Integra coming up pretty quick in the rear view. He gets a little closer and I noticed an intercooler up front and thought this could get interesting. so he goes by me real quick and shifts next to me and i heard the blowoff. So I get next to him and drop it into 3rd doing about 60 and he nods and i nodded.
I waited for him and when he punched it he put about a car on me. I hit it and started reeling him in. I passed him around 90 and he let off because his lane was ending.
It was the best race ive had yet and the kid was actually pretty cool about it. He caught back up to me and I told him he had a nice car and he said the same. Never got to ask him what he had but I dont think it was too much like the rest of the kids in town that get their parents to pay for their car.

A sprint of 30mph and it was the best race you have had? Have you only had the car for a week?

Good kill, sounds like a basic little turbo kit on an LS, most likely. How quick were you reeling him in?

No we were going to about 120 before he had to slow down. It was just at around 90 when I passed him. I really didnt know what to expect when I raced it because so many people around here get their parents to pay for stuff that I wasnt really sure how much was done to it. But like I said I dont think it was too much done and the kid was really cool about it.

Yeah, sounds about right for a ~250whp car. 8-9psi LS maybe?

Yeah, anything can be made fast. Integras are no exception. I have a buddy here with a teggy that wants to do a gsr engine swap and slang a turbo off of that thing. I keep telling him to just do it and I will race him and we can get a video of his integra keeping up with an LS1
