Help Please. ;/
i decided to take the battery out for other reasons, went to put it back in and the damn thing wont do anything, no power... so im thinking, okay loose cable. check everything, everything checks out fine and still nothing. i jumped the car finally got it running... i let it idle for about 5 minutes. backed out the drive way, put in drive, and the emergency brake light flashed rapidly then all power was gone after about 10 secs in drive. I rejumped the car, and did the same again... i dont know what to do

well there is a resistor in your key and that has a special ohm reading on it that sends that amount of ohms to your bcm which then sends the signal to your computer...that resistor might be bad...go to the gm dealer and get another key made( they will need your title and license).. do you only have one key for the car or multiple?? if this doesnt do the trick then we will look for other things...

have speartech flash your vats in your computer....its a bypass...that might take care of your security light...and also if your light is on right there you know you have issues with your sec system....dead give away...that light just doesnt come on for any reason...is your service engine soon light coming on?

Well, you have a 93 I see, and most people I think are recommending something that isn't as easy on a 93. Simply because, we have no BCM, OR PCM for that matter. We have the old school ECM and things are different with that. Oddly, my security light never comes on, and I'm not sure why >_> I know we have different F-Bodies, but do you have a small light on the left side of the steering wheel on the dash? It would be a red LED. I have one on mine, and I'd say aftermarket, except it has a molded ring around it that's molded into the plastic dash, so definitely a factory item for me.
Alternatively you can jump the ALDL port pins and get the check engine light flashing to see if there are any codes present. If by some odd chance you live in Minnesota, I can swing by and check it (codes and operational data) for you heh
Unless the key was in the ignition and turn forward some, when you reconnected the battery, I don't feel it'd be the key. I only mention that due to a possible instant surge, and just enough to tweak that resistor to put out just a slightly different Ohmage (hah I love making up words).
www.shbox.com if you don't know about it.
Here's how to jump the pins, also if you don't know how.
