Boom-10 Bolts Suck
So a couple weeks ago I was leaving work and one of the bolts on the posi broke. Well I got it home took that one out. Drove on it for a couple weeks and then BOOM...another one broke this time it took out my diff cover.
The gears are fine it seems. I think for now I am just gonna take the posi out and put a spool in its place... Well if I can find one. Drive on the spool for like a month until I can save some damn money and order a 9".
This sucks. One thing after another. And I just put all new brakes, exhaust and 02 sensors on it.../sigh

They aren't back out ...or at least I don't think they are. I have the two in my hand right now and it looks like they sheered completely off at the shoulder.
Freaking sucks... I told ya when I lived in DC I should have come down and bought that rear end you were selling...lol

What I'm getting at is that if they are ring gear bolts, you can replace them & the cover, and it would be cheaper than a spool. It would not require setting up the rear end again like a spool might.
New ring gear bolts ($10) + used 10 bolt cover (you can probably get one for free on here, lol) = super cheap fix to hold you over. And it's something you can do yourself with virtually no knowledge of how to set up a rear.

Oh so your saying that if i just take out the posi I can take out all the bolts and just put new ones in?
humm..never thought of that....figured it would have to setup again....

Ok I ordered a new cover. Having the WS6 picked up tonight will have the bolts out tomorrow hopefully. We will see how this goes. If she can last me about a month I should be able to order that Fab9 rear end with the torque arm mount kit.
