Different Firebird Seats In Different Years?
I have someone looking at the Firehawk and he has a 98 WS6. When he test drove mine, he thinks something might be wrong with my seat cause it doesn't go as far back as his does. I'm 6'1" and have it as far back as it goes and it's been like that since I've owned it, but this guy is probably 6'6" and could use the extra room.
Was there ever a difference in seats these cars??
Is there some way I can modify my seat tracks to get it to go further back maybe?
Thanks for any help or info! =)

Same thing I was thinking. In my old 93 I had the seat all the way back in it and never noticed a difference in the 2000 hawk. It was a M6 in the 93 versus A4 in the hawk but still kept the seat at the same position because I was use to it. I wonder if his seat was modified to move back more? A guy on the Houston F-body list said there's a modification that some have made to the tracks to allow them to go further back, wonder if that's the case? I'd be more than happy to do the modification if it didn't take alot to do and kept the integerty of the seat as well.
Anyone else happen to know any info on this or possibly have done that mod to their seat??
Thanks alot for the reply, MUCH appreciated!!

Not exactly true...as stated above they are seats with lumbar and seats without. The seats without lumber feel way different than the seats with. My dad is a big man and he absolutly hates the seats in my WS6 (lumbar) and likes the ones in my 98 TA (no lumbar.) All the TAs I have had before that 98 had lumbar and he wouldnt ride in them....but loved Camaro seats. Turns out the difference is the lumbar.
