Default LT1 Pushrods...

Ok, I am upgrading my valvetrain. I am putting in some new valve springs and titanium retainers with a height of 1.800". I am installing GM LS7 lifters and a Comp Cams 503 cam. Do I keep stock length pushrods? I am looking at going chrom-oly on the rods but I dont know what length exactly.....I'm not very educated on valvetrain lol.

You need to set up your valvetrain and measure to get the right length pushrods.

The only real way to know is to use a pushrod length checker and measure the correct length. If your heads haven't ever been milled, deck blocked, etc. etc. chances are 7.200" will be correct. I used the stock length when I had the cc503 and untouched heads, block, etc. Only thing is...I believe the LS7 lifters could throw a length off a tad because I forget exactly but they either have a deeper cup than stock or a little less deeper. Best way to go is to just measure. I would get the Trickflow hardened chromemoly pushrods they seem to be the best.
