Thumbs up new best today.

however i nicked a head gasket. guess i cant complain, they have been on for atleast 60 hard 9.0-9.1 passes, the new best looked great, AF was spot on, and timming on the plugs where perfect. im pretty sure i got the gasket last time out because i had a little water/sludge when i did the oil change. anyway heres the run down

un loaded, threw a tune in it, put 2 tenths delay in the nitrous, 250 jets and tuned it safe.
went up, car hit good then when the spray kicked on it blew the tires a little bit car drove left had to lift a bit to shut off the spray, got back in it, short shifted it by about 300 rpm short (7200 rpm, and really i should have shifted at 7800) and ran it out the back.
ended up going an 8.77 @ 154.xx with a 1.34 short time.
125 in the 1/8th, got back and saw a couple drops of water, so i called it a day. started to take the car apart at the track, just got the head off and i hit #3 just a tad, i have a gasket here so im going to clean it up and throw it back together. hope to run a little faster tommorow.
gatta run. work time. vid to come

i do not have the 6 bolts, i still have the 4 bolt heads block is ready to go, but trick flow wasnt doing 6 bolt when i got my heads.

the gaskets have atleast 30-40 9.0-9.1 passes on them id have to say it was due for gaskets.

like i said, im pretty sure i got it last time out, because when i went to the car show the car had that smell of the royal purple coolent additive i put in, then i changed the oil yesterday and i had a little sludge but just thought it was leaving the car in the trailer for so long.

the gasket is touched, it was not bad at all so im pretty sure we are good. the plugs looked perfect on the timming side, and a touch fat, the wide band put me at 11.1-11.3 the entire pass so i think the tune up was good. we'll see. i used a used gasket so im a little scared on that and will order new ones monday and just change both this week. we'll see.

thanks guys, i know she has more in it, got another new best first pass today, but had to get in and out of it, somthing is up with my transbrake and it wasnt holding correct, im going to go threw the wire tonight.
8.70 155 today that was on and off out of the hole and i shut it down around the 1,000 foot mark. a was way rich and the car was nosing over. next pass out the used headgasket i threw on last night puke itself out. ordering new gaskets tonight

timming and fuel looked good, the plugs looked perfect and we got the a/f in the 11.5 range for this pass, the car was working good, but the used gasket didnt want anymore. lol this gasket had a little twist in it when we put it on and thats right where it went.

trans brake did the same thing as the first pass, but i didnt give it time so i got no read out, but it felt real good.

oh well, im going to pull the head this week and have my guy throw a skim on them and test all my springs etc. 50-60 8000 rpm passes may have done somthing. we'll see.
next time out i know right where im going to start on y tune up.

todays first pass i jumped it due to the brake not holding, let out, got back in, spun a bit, got back in, and let shut it down around the 1,000 foot. ended up with a 8.70

Nice Job!

When you say the gasket went bad is it pushing water from between the head and gasket of just pressurizing the coolant system?

I went through a few gaskets on my old 346 lol.

yesterdays split between layers. today im not 100% sure i havent taken it apart but its leaking right where i saw a tweek, so im guessing it did it again in that spot. didnt pressurize the system
