Generation IV Internal Engine - Modified LS3 vette owners come in

A buddy of mine just got an 08 vette with the ls3. He put a cold air intake on it and OnStar kept calling him because his check engine light stays on. How do you guys get around this? Tune it out of the comp??

did he disconnect the battery cable and make sure all the clamps are tight/sensors plugged in?

Im not sure he just said after he installed it OnStar kep callin him becasuse his check engine light was on so he took it off. Im sure he installed in correct. If he didnt disconnect the battery the check engine light would come on?

the battery disconnected will clear the code and upon startup the computer will learn the new parts....sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

and if it doesnt??

we had the same problem but onstar has yet to call car even studdered bad it seems o8 computer is SENSITIVE
