I put one my friends 2001 Camaro SS 6 speed that had 3.73 gears, Pacesetter long tubes, CME exhaust (factery exhaust, SLP lid, K&N filter, stock ported throttlebody, ASP pulley, and it put down 387rwhp on dynojet. We used hardened pushrods and comp cam 918 springs. and was a new crate motor with 600 miles on it when tuned. This was with stock (untouched 241 LS1 heads.)

I had this cam in my car. With a lid, mac headers & ory, and a borla I made 350 rwhp. This was with a ls1 intake.

I don't think too many people use it since you can generally get more power for the same price with a bigger cam. I'm sure the driveability is awesome with it though. Supposedly some guy made 397 with it, but seeing as how alot of the bigger cams have trouble making that much, I call BS.

Quite a few have made 38X with all supporting bolt ons. I ran 12.50's @ 113 with it, catback, LS1 intake, lid, gears, HPP3. Stock manifolds, Y, suspension on GSC's. That was back in 2000 or 2001, so it aint' as bad as most here portray it.

no HP numbers but with a street tune and the mods in my sig (minus the 12 bolt) i ran a 12.7 at 113 with a 2.0 60ft time (traction limited)...my best trap speed to date is a 114...so bolt ons and a small cam does alright.......with the new rear and some sticky tires im hoping for a 12.4-3.....longtubes with ORY and SLP powerflo exhaust is in my near future and then LS6 heads soon after that...hoping it will be a 12.0-11.9 car when finished....

thanks for the replys, i know the hotcam is not as popular as other cams and is not that strong but with the right combonation it could be one hell of a cam, i'm hoping that with the combonation that i have i could hit 400rwhp to 400+. Everything should be installed this coming month and i will post my dyno results as soon as i get it tuned.

i had it in my car it was a good cam the reason i chose it no need for a tune and it only needed ls6 springs when i had mine it was with a ls6 intake i think it made some where around 370+ it was a good cam it idled like a big cam and pulled like one but compared to other bigger cams not even close but on a budget not bad at all with the right bolt on's i want to say the new vette has a 525 lift cam in it so with bolt on can't go wrong

I'm assuming you are hoping for 400 rwhp with the heads and such?

Search is your friend.

We are going to begin closing all the "guess my numbers" threads in this section. This is a dyno results and comparisons section. Guessing games and hypotheticals should be posted in the Gen 3 internal section.
