Default Scratchin' my head

I have my first Scratch(eeek!!) in my Sunset Orange 2002 Z28. It is around 1/2 in. long, and not real deep. I heard that the best tool to use on a scratch is the dull end of a needle. It does not leave that "clumped up" look on the finish. Can anyone give me suggestions that will give the best results.
thanks, Paul

if its not very deep I would think you could have it sanded and buffed out.. if its through the paint then i would pay a little extra and have a pinstriper fix it..

Try:

3M Finesse It-II compound. It is equal to 2500 grit sand paper and it doesn't leave any hazing behind. Really nice stuff.

If you can't feel the scratch with your finger nail (if your nail doesnt get stuck in the scratch) then it can be removed, just take your time and don't rush. See the scratch, be the scratch and remove the scratch.
