Default Sts Lt1?

Any LT1 owners running STS Turbo system here? Looks like at 7 psi you car get about 400 whp on a stock LT1. Thats good for a low 12 pass. I'm just planning for next summer season. May go with an LT1, cause I found a clean low miles Z for a good price. Just keeping my options open.

Or just run mid 11s on a bolt on LT1 like 1SlowFormula just did Or run a very low 12 and keep it more streetable.

But yes, I believe there are a couple folks here running the STS.

I am running the STS system. It dynoed at 400 rwhp at 7 psi through an automatic. There are caveats: You need 42 pound injectors, you should get the gauges, and you should consider meth injection to cool down the IATs. I also got the GT-67 upgrade and the 2 stage boost controller. So I can up the boost when I get an intercooler.
The nice thing about it is you keep your stock idle and streetability. And it is very peppy.

Ssssssssick! Is that your video on youtube by any chance? I know about the 42# injectors. How about the fuel pump? I may shoot you a few PM's down the road.

I could afford, an "LS1" but the I idea of doing 12's or 11's for $10k or less is very appealing. Good way to get me broken into the LT and LS world.

some people like their kits so dont, look into their design and think about what you want from one of their kits.

No youtube here. Low 12's are easy. None of the LS-1s I run with want to run me.
High 11's take more work, and I expect my current engine build to achieve that easily.
And yes, I went with a 255 lph Walbro for a pump. I also upgraded to the Racetronix harness, a worthwhile investment. When I go for high boost (12 psi) I will upgrade to MightyMouse's dual pump setup.

I'm just keeping my options open. I have a solid career lined up now. I just think it would be fun with the under dog LT1. Also have the car paid off right away, and have the STS kit in the mail without any lag. I just need to grow a mullet and get some 80's tunes blasting!

^Not to get off topic, but I dont think any career at this point is SOLID! Hell all of us are about to be payin out of our pockets to keep these phukin banks open. Were so Phucked! No Offense to the op, your post just got me thinkin about this isht! Carry on lol!
About the sts, I would piece together a kit. The clamps and hoses are not very good quality, causing leaks. About the norm procharger is the same way or used to be. I would upgrade from the base turbo. Basically the base kit is good for a bone stock lt1 only. Soon as you do any mods it's worthless. Other than that, should haul *** for sure!

I upgraded to the GT-67 turbo, and the 2 stage boost contoller. I accidentally ran it at high boost a few weeks ago, and it is a beast. JMHO.
