Default Is my buddy getting scammed?

My buddy actually blew up his motor in his '03 cobra. Turned out to be a spun bearing. So he bought a new short block from detroit speed and was just gonna swap the heads over to his new short block along with the supercharger. The guys at the shop have everything out but now they say he needs new "Drive Dogs" for his supercharger. They're telling him it's just as much to replace those as it is to remove the engine from the car. So he's looking at a huge bill if thats true. I"ve searched and can't seem to find anything about a drive dog? Anyone heard of these before? Thanks in advance.

drive dogs are expensive man but if they are replacing those then tell him to have them replace his muffler bearings while they are at it...

Well, the '03 Cobra only came with chiuaua drive dogs anyways, so he should really take the opportunity to upgrade to something like the Rottweiler drive dogs. It'll definitely put more bite in the car, and bark the tires a bit more...

Seriously, wtf?
