Exclamation Still paying the price

Just changed the spark plugs.... The cars idle is still fluxuating. The car is also idling ruff when the a/c is running. The coil is new, the opti is also new. I can not figure out why the car is idling ruff. When driving the motor seems to run smooth. Please help...

Reads like either a possible misfire or vacuum leak.

I had the same problem. The idle would usually fluctuate when i was at a stop. thought it was a vacuum leak checked everything but found nothing, even replaced the computer. What it was, was the Opti. i changed that out an worked perfectly after that. since you said yours is new maybe the wires. but id try the opti on more time.

Check your IAC valve, IAT and ICM. Could be one of these. Are you getting any codes thrown?

its probably one of your wires.. if you go through and check them you might have a loose tip that isnt on your opti all the way or maybe one is burnt, jsut check your wires really good..if its not your wires sounds like your car wasnt TDC when you put your opti in there....pull it back off if you cant find anything else out and put it TDC and then put it back on and then see what it does..

the optispark is a MSD I have had it on for at least 6months. I have looked under the hood at night to see if I see something arching but nothing has showed up. I need advise on how to route my wires. everytime I try, one of them seem to get either burnt or cut by the serpentine belt. HELP

I would do all the small things and then try to pin point it. O2's, iat, icm, check vac. lines, fuel filter, clean maf, tb, etc. Chances are its something small and stupid that gets over looked.

it was the sparkplug wire closest to the firewall on the driverside when facing the car.I have a heat shield on that particular wire beacause it runs underneath the stock headers. If anyone has an idea on how to install that wire without it burning up on me please help me. thanks a million/ gas has raped my pocket with no lub!!!
