Unhappy Really Weird Driveshaft Problem???

Today I started tearing apart my 9" rear to install a new center section and 35 spline axles and I can't get the driveshaft out of the transmission. The driveshaft came off the rearend yoke fine but will not slide out of the transmission. Has this happened to anyone before and, how can I fix this?

Huh? I'm not sure how losing a ground would keep my driveshaft from sliding out of the transmission?

Does anyone else have some info on how I can get my driveshaft out? It won't move forward or back now.

I'll bet the splines are twisted on the front yoke, you may have to gently beat it out. Bob

I finally got it out. I must have left my ***** in my other purse when I tried to take it out yesterday. I gave it a little twist with the car in gear to loosen it up and it slid right out. I checked the splines on both the yoke and output shaft and their fine.

Just went to pull my driveshaft becuse of a vibration. Stock length strange think its to short. and it would not go in had to pound it in. Got it out and the splines are twisted on the yoke. I also took off the tail housing to change the bushing and the rear shaft looks good. Now i need a new driveshaft and yoke. I think i'm going to get A pst from epp this time the right length.

Thanks, the extra inch in length makes a big difference. Bob
