Default stock length driveshaft with 12 bolt?

Will a stock length drive shaft work in a 98 ss with a 12 bolt and 1350 yoke?

With the 1350 yoke, you will need a shorter driveshaft. I have a like new Spohn Top Gun driveshaft for M6/12 bolt if you'd be interested, PM me and I'll make you a good deal on it.

Either way, hope that helps!

?? The stock driveshaft works with the 12 bolt. The conversion u joint does not extend the length of the driveshaft any. Bob

Did you have the car up on jacks with the rear hanging down?

With the car on jack stands , put a jack under the rearend and jack it up(as if car was on the ground with load on it). Measure from the center of the rear yoke to the back of the transmission. There is no way a stock shaft would be too long for your application.

When I bought my moser 12 bolt I put it in on a lift and it was hard to get the driveshaft in. Is this normal I practically had to pry in my driveshaft. It sits really tight against the back of the trans.

Yes, on a lift it will be difficult. The 12 bolt driveshaft length is the same as the 10 bolt's. Bob
