Default which size head gasket

ive got 6.0l im trying to decide which gasket thickness to go with for my daily driver with low boost (5-7 psi)

4.010 bore, the pistons come out .005 of the hole w/ mahle -4cc pistons
stock rods
72cc heads
im deciding between the stock .052 and .040

the .052 would give me a compression ratio of about 9.5 and the .040 of about 9.8,

wouldnt the quench area be better with the thinner gasket? but is the compression raito too high?

which one would fight detonation better?

any help is appreciated

thanks, Gary

you'll be fine w/ the .040. Just tune for it. I run 10.2:1 on 93 and 9.5#s boost, I will soon be running 7#s 4.030 -3cc w/ .040 72cc 317s w/ a z06 cam.

If you plan on more than 10 #s later on then go w/ lower comp.
