Western Members - Whats with these Ricer Drive bys?

Do any of you have this problem?

It seems like effing ricers (a few mustangs have done it too though) drive by my house and love to rev, peel out, pop their BOV, or just speed by as soon as they see a Camaro in the driveway. Its funny, sometimes I'm in the garage not even by my car.

Last night this must have happened 8 times in less than two hours.

Whats even funnier is before I was driving the SS, they'd do it with my other Camaro in the driveway on jack stands.

Its like "yeah jack hole, I'm going to drop it off the stands and go race you"

I garage the vette just so those bastards wont bother me. Ive caught a few slipping as Im driving home but theyre quiet as puppies on the street. They wont even look over when they hear my cam.:D

I live on a cul-de-sac so it rarely happens.

I can understand it when driving. but the car is parked, with no one in it. lol.

I used to get that from a few people that lived on my street, but they finialy have moved and I dont get it as much. There were a few mustangs on another block, that were doing it, untill the found out whos car it was, now they dont even drive down my street anymore.

Some little shit down the street on an R6 does it about every night. He came over bragging once about how his bike will beat my car and I told him his bike needed training wheels if he couldnt beat my car. I guess he didnt like that...

Also about a week or so back one of the ppl who live around the corner has these letter import meetup with like 3 or 4 cars. So one weekend an Integra (pitch black tints all around, bright blue headlights, and screaming yellow fog lamps.) came cruising down my street, and I was out front with my brother, and a friend just talking about nonsense. When he throw out a handful of high pitched revs, which set my alarm off. All I did was chuckle, and said, "cute."

Two things bother the shit out of me!!!:mad:

First-When you're on the street/freeway, just chillin and all of a sudden you here a ricer or a bunkstang(MUSTANG) revving the shit out of their cars' and when you finally line them up they make a quick turn and dissaper. I hate that shit!

Second-What I hate the most is when your buddies come over your place with their f-bodies and just chillin having some beers or what have you and you get those little brave ricers burning out right in front of your place and when you guys finally come out, they pass by shifting under 2000 RPM, pretending it wasn't him.

Yeah same problem here a lil integra would always like running down my street event though it is the long way to his house. got him side by by going home on day with is girl i think..LOL dropped the gear..(exhaust ended at the y pipe back then) didn't even look at me then he actually took the short way to his house.

Happens to me as well..... especially while sitting at an innersection with cars ahead of me some douche bag in his 97 honda sticker happy lower mower trunk rattleing wants to rev next to me.... That happens to me all the time.. I'm cruising along in lane #1 at or very close to the speed limit and some shitty stock Del Slow or Geo goes flying by me in lane #2 at like 84mph, I hit my foglights a couple times extremely quickly and they flash their hazards and make a few jerky "unsafe lane changes"... wtf????

So, a cop goes cruising by me on the freeway... I'm cruising along in the slow lane at 70 minding my own business so he slowly passes me by... I see what looks like late 90s Volkswagen headlights zooming up behind me from the onramp.. looks like he's going 90+. Some kid in a turbo'd Jetta flies by me where I flash the fogs quickly to try and warn him about the cop... He slows back down to my side at 70, then proceeds to jump forward and backward... Like I'm going to race my automatic near-stock V6 f-body with 3.42s against a turbo'd V6 car at a 70MPH roll [U]WITH A COP AHEAD OF US?? If I had an LSx, I wouldn't even waste gas on him... :gtfo:

Anyways, after being denied an easy kill, the kid then proceeds to zoom off, apparently to blow doors off aforementioned cop. I hope he did.

AHAHAHAH this just happened to my TONIGHT.. i guess some punk in the neighborhood noticed my camaro in the driveway.. so im INSIDE my house in my room and i hear him rev all crazy making noise when he passed my house.. the other night someone was doing a burnout or something.. such losers

...at, of all places, a brewpub in San Rafael, CA (one of my regular hangouts).

Mind you, this is an average busy suburban downtown street, traffic going 20 MPH tops. Everyone is just sitting around drinking beer and eating food. Used to be sitting out on the streetside patio all the loud cars and bikes would rev going by, all Saturday afternoon long. The Harley packs were LOUD!
There's no parking directly in front of the place, so the "show-off" factor was a bit higher, I guess.

Doesn't happen so much any more (in fact, a harley did it just last week and reminded me of how much it used to go on). I think the owner had the police crack down.

Of course, they might've been revving for the benefit of the residential hotel across the street... :D

I had that happen a few days ago. Some kid in a civic was following every move that I made. I was on a busy street mind you. So he does the ususal fly by. Then I met up with him at a light. His windows were rolled down. So I ask him are you serious? Then he says back to me NO you would freakin kill me. All I could do was laugh as I think to myself why be so stupid if you already know? I dont know what these people think when they know better.

You guys think it's bad when driving a GM car... Try driving a Civic with an exhaust! I was cruising with my buddy in Idaho (late 90s Civic coupe B16B (200+ hp) swap, heads, intake, exhaust, LSD trans, track wheels, coilovers, almost no appearance mods, yadda yadda) and EVERYBODY revved at us and wanted to race... Guys in trucks, kids in Ford Escorts, Rangers, Dodge Stratus, etc... It's pathetic how people are. Naturally the Mustangs and other v8's didn't usually waste their time wanting to race, and my buddy didn't want to challenge them or even act like he wanted to race cause he knows they'd completely stomp him. His car smokes most other NA Civics in the area though so it's no problem, just an annoyance. :D

My favorite was some kid in a sentra ser spec-v was riding my ass down the hill I live on and every time I would give it gas he would speed up and get right behind me so need less to say I got tires of his shit and when I got to the bottom of the hill and hit the stop sign there I turned off tc mashed it and started to get a little sideways and what do you know that little turd of a sentra wouldn't come any where near me after that.

Now that would be video worthy.
I'll see if I can hide my video camera outside one of these days. It's the weirdest thing, almost feel like all he does is sit on his porch waiting to hear my car.
