Default Vacuum/boost guage

Im not running any type of FI but i figured you guys would know best. At WOT with my new setup I wanto make 100% SURE that theres no vacuum, so i was going to get a vacuum guage. My question is they offer two types, ones mechanical and ones electrical. There obviously a pretty big price difference, so is it nessesary to get an electrical one? I dont know how these hookup so I dont know how or where vacuum/boost guages read from. Im assuming ill need an electrical one and have it read from the map sensor??? Any help would be great

I have a mechanical gauge plumed in to the vac line in the back of the intake manifold to the brake booster. Put in a "T" and the run the small hose through the fire wall to your gauge.
