how much is to much boost for this compression?

Default how much is to much boost for this compression?

i have a 383 with 10.7:1 compression and i just bought a d1sc procharger so i was wondering would 8lbs of boost be ok to run with my compression.

With a well-placed, properly sized intercooler it would work. You might still need meth injection on hot days and/or track days to be safe.

I think you'll save time and pain if you change pistons first and get it down into the 9.x CR range, but it really depends on whether you will be happy with 8# or will want more.

Stock LS2 engines work just fine at 8 psi of boost, which means you'll be just fine. Bob

If you want to go more I have a set of mahle pistons for a 383 with a -26cc dish with brand new rings would be perfect for your motor when you want to make big boost .
