Default LT1 Fuel Injector "Firing Order?"

We had one person pull the fuel injectors off to remove the intake manifold... and a couple of weeks later we have someone else installing everything..

Is there a way to figure out which wire goes to which injector?

We tried finding the "longest wire" and "shortest wire" but no luck...

And now that it ran for a few mins like that, it wont start, almost like battery is dead... so we hooked a charger up to it and same thing...

Im stuck on this car...

the injector clips should have a number on them 1-8 place corresponding number on the injecter above cylinder. for example the driver side front of the car is 1-3-5-7 to the rear of the driver side. the pass side is 2-4-6-8-

there are numbers on the black plastic clip. look harder. 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 is the firing order for an LT1.

and like redta said

front to back

driver side
1-3-5-7

pass side

2-4-6-8

I agree, the wire harness has the plugs numbered for each injector. Absolute worst case, the harness has each plug just at the right length for each injector.

I know for a fact 93 harnesses don't have the clips numbered because of batch-fire.

if it was a batch fire car, then it wouldn't matter how you hooked the injectors up

Well I guess it is batch fire bc its running now, without us moving and injector wires... but we found that the fuel pressure regulator wasnt adjust correctly, bc we started messing with it and it started to actually run.. But just not like it should...

How many PSI does an LT1 need? Its an (LT4 top end package)
BTW, its an Aeromotive regulator...

43.5psi with vacuum line disconnected, but with quite a bit of tolerance in the GM posted specs so the computer can compensate for +/- a few psi. The fuel pressure with the vacuum line connected to the fpr at idle will depend on your cam, and how much vacuum it pulls.

What year is the car as it should not be a batch fire unless it's a speed density car (No MAF - 93 only) as 94-up was sequential. Unless some one converted the wire harness? You can convert a MAF car to speed density so that really doesn't matter, just saying the batch was only on 93 motors.

The Aeromotive units are not always the best. Some guys have great luck with them for years, others have literally had them burn cars to the ground

That means it is indeed a batch fire car, so the injectors are not numbered. As long as they are on the proper side and you dont somehow stretch one over the intake to the other side you are fine .
