View Full Version : New Project: 6.0l/4L80E Turbo Notch Stang

Well last night I went out and picked up a clean 92 notchback roller. Ive got a swapped lq4/4l80e turboed grand national that will be used as the donor car. Plan is to hopefully swap everything in without too many hitches. I am hoping to use the AJE LS1 K-member as well as their th400 trans x-member and get everything bolted in.

Do the th400 and 4l80e mounts line up though? havent been able to find any good information on the subject. I am also going to have to fab up a turbo hot side crossover and charge pipe. car should move quite nicely!!!

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

I think they are close, but if you can weld well enough to build a hotside for the turbo, extending the cross member will be pretty easy. I would look at making your own crossmember from scratch vs buying one, or modify the stock one to work.

What turbo are you running? Your right, the car should feel pretty light on its feet.

Umm, well I found a aje Kmember and all suspension stuff for the front end for a reasonable price, so I got it. But it doesnt have any motor mounts, So ive gotta either go with a motor plate setup, or get a set of the mounts from AJE and weld em on myself.

Im using one of those cheap Diesel Borg Warner S400 series turbos, 1.30 A/R with a 75mm inducer. The car runs very well currently in the Regal, very torquey, moves good from a roll. It should be very fun with 1100 lbs off of it.

Good luck with the build. I did a turbo 6.0 notch w/ a manual.
