Default 6.0/Th350 Mustang going back together...again

Hello! I thought I would post a few pics and updates . As most of you know, I was running a LS1 and a T56 at the beginning of the year in my little coupe. I have since sold/traded both the motor and trans.
What I'm working on now is a 2002 LQ4 6.0 with a set of L92 heads, L76 intake with a Texas Speed 233/239 cam. I went ahead and stuck a set of ARP rod bolts in it, ported LS6 oil pump,LS2 timing chain and a set of Comp 918 springs while I had it apart.
This time around I will be running a William Cook built Th350 with a Redneck 4000 stall. I was kinda tossing the Turbo idea around for a while, but I believe I'm just going to stick it together like it is.

Anyway, here are a few pics of the motor I took last night.

btw, whats your .02 on the Ford blue? The only reason I did it was to **** the die hard Ford guys off.

These freakin intake ports are a monster.......

Yep, those are Greg Welds. I only have the fronts so far. If/when I sell those new Bullitts I just bought,(or you donate ) I will be buying the rears and another set of DR's. I would go ahead and buy a set, but this Memphis trip next week is costing me an arm and a ******** .....and I'm not taking a car..lol

I was able to get the valve train on tonight . I need a set of intake bolts if anyone has some laying around.

i assume the gold color rockers are used.
its gonna run hard with a th350, but im not so sure on the cam profile for your motor and that ls3/l76 bottleneck intake.
have you considered a cam with longer exhaust duration and a gmpp single plane intake with a spacer? plenty of room under the hood of a mustang even with a 90* i would assume

The operating range of this cam is 1900-6500 rpm's. Which falls under the nose dive that the intake takes above 6500+. For an off the shelf cam it favors the exhaust a pretty good bit. 233 vs. 239.
Yeah, I did think about the GMPP intake and 90* elbow setup. From what I have been reading ,on a NA motor the carb intake and elbow setup has not been all that great either. Well, the sheet metal elbows that is. I have not seen anyone running the Edelbrock 90* yet. Plus I got this intake setup at a VERY good price.

As far as the flexplate goes, I have not made my mind up yet.

I finally got the 6.0 set down in the car today. I had to do some major work on the trans cross member. The th350 trans mount is about 6" forward of the T56 mount. I would have probably been ok using a stock 5.0 cross member, but I had to cut out the mounts on the frame off to make room for my exhaust.

Anyway, here are a couple pics....dont mind the dirty engine bay.Its dusty as hell from sitting so long.

What's your projected hp ?

I'm thinking of a similar setup but with a 5 speed.

I hope to have it done by Thanksgiving . I would be happy with 425ish at the wheels. Thats going through a th350 with a 4k stall.....

I ordered my shifter, lokar dip stick and trans cooler yesterday . Minus some small stuff, that should be everything I need. I also picked up my next project...lol I bought a 95 S-10 ext cab truck. If I can keep it long enough I plan on putting a cam only 5.3 or 6.0 in it.

Djquik, your first build was my inspiration to go get a car and start the swap. Just wanted you to know that. Picked up a 84 capri t-top roller and started the resto and 87-93 conversion but now car has sat for 3 months cause I lost my house to wife in divorce.

I also lost all my cash i had saved up for my drivetrian to the attorney..bummer

Thanks for all the detailed swap info, pics, and build tips.

Damn dude! Sorry to hear that. Don't give up though. You will have plenty of time to get one together after you get over this hurdle in life. You could look at it this way.....at least it wasn't done so she could take it too .

If there is anything I can help you with when you get back started on it , please feel free to ask.
