Default TB intake spacer question

Ok, so i picked up a 80mm BBK throttle body a while back and it comes with the 80-75mm spacer for the OE intake. Then i decided to to with the BBK SSI 85mm Intake manifuld. My question is, can i bolt the TB directly to the intake, without a spacer knocking the size up a notch, or will that cause turbulance in the runners. I was thinking of machining out the BBK spacer from the original (80-75) to 80-85. Any suggestions?

I would just bolt it up, dont worry about the spacer. But modding the old spacer wouldnt hurt either, if you got the time and feel like messing with it.
