I asked the same thing a few yrs back and never got a difinative answer. The only advantage I could would poss. be same power with less boost. The warhawk ls1 head is a nice piece too, 235 cc and alittle cheaper ($1800).

The website says for 396 and up cubes, will the 225cc runners take away much low end torque?

With a stall and gears can't see you being too weak on torque ,also depending on how fast that turbo spools up. You might even get some traction advantages to not having so much down low. I figured if was NA then the afr 205 would maybe have been better for me even with a 408. But also figured if did at some point in future want to go even bigger the 225 would be ok for that.

Heads dont' seem so critical for FI applications. As you said its likely just going to let you get same power lower boost than heads that aren't so good. But that can also be a good thing.Less chance of head gasket problems is one benefit.

I have a 2800 stall, 3 disc lock up converter. I have the cr at 9.3to1 to keep up the no boost power, with a pt76gts I think it should spool at 2400 rpm. without too much low end power could be better. don't want too much torque steer. THANKS
