Default module ide opti?

i am changing the cap and rotor on my opti and was wondering if i need to swap the module while im in there...?

if so what is it called?

if you are that far in just replace the opti. you dont wanna do it again. GM or MSD only, no autozone crap

o ok well i was just putting the msd cap and rotor on and the little metal plate was movin around, so i moved it and that lil sensor looked a lil rusty like it had been full of water...

ive got like 3 optis layin around so i really dont wunna have to buy one.. lol

and i take it theres no way to check it before its back on the car...?

ok so maybe im too bumb to do it but i just put the rotor on and it seems like the optical wheel is scraping or something. i m not sure if i dit it wrong or this opti is trash o what?

if it looks like there is rust on this inside then your on limited time. a cap and rotor wont prevent it from failing. it may last a year or fail 2 days from now. if it was me i would buy a whole new opti especially if everything is still all taken apart

Agreed, it might be over your current budget right now, but it's a worth while sacrifice. You're saving headache and possibly being stranded.
