Default what is the biggest plug gap with stock coil

what is the biggest/recomended gap for my setup with a stock coil.i went from .030 to .025 and feels like i lost power..is .035 good?..what about .040? too big? i am running tr6's with 93 pump gas and 9 lbs

Well would like to know this as well. Too small a gap is likely not good. Too big the spark blows out like you said.. Think around .030 is usual recommendation. Then if you run more boost you just run colder plugs usually.Do you think you are blowing out the spark at .040. I say if they run good at .030 then leave them there. Dyno might show whats actually happening. And maybe scanner would show misfires on cylinders in log if they are blowing out?

is obd1 lt1 computers capable of detecting misfires? i dont think they do..well with my plug gap closed to .025 it cleared up my above 4,000rpm breakup. its a fix till i get a better coil. after i get one i think i am going to get some new plugs and try .030 out again.my car was running pretty rich when i first started tuning my car so maybe thats what it was..only time will tell.

Hmmmm....on LSX based motors, I think .025 - .035 is recommended depending on how much boost you are running.
