I wouldn't count on one for a while. They are using every one they have for production vehicles and any warranty issues.

Exactly, I would be careful about buying an LS9 until it is listed as an assembly from GM Parts or GM Performance Parts. There may be pieces out there that came from engineering or were scrapped during the develpment process.
There are serial numbers etched on the blocks that allow them to be traced to their history. You would not want to be holding one of these engines and find out that it was not the final certified configuration.

Do your homework before you drop a bunch of money.
