Pardon my negligence, but what's the advantage of an aftermarket k-member, besides looking much better than the stock one? Parts look good!

Front end weight reduction. Also, for the turbo guys there's more room to work with.

Weight savings and its stronger than the stock piece. It makes header installs a breeze. And plus there is no huge stamped metal piece to catch every single nut, bolt, and part that you drop in the engine bay.

Looks awesome! Thats the same setup that I am going to put on soon. Any clearence issues with the TA relocation bracket? I'm wondering if it will clear my TSP true duals? but, I should be somewhere around your numbers on bottle, just wondering what clutch you are using?

The exhaust is custom and made to fit around suspension. But so long as you have a transmission mounted length torque arm it will clear TSP true duals. In fact that is the test car they used at UMI. If you go to their site they have a pic showing a car with TSP true duals and the relocation kit and it clears just fine.

And I am using Spec stage 3 for clutch.

God I hate that too.
I really like the UMI k-member. Just wished you buy it with lowered motor mounts.

Wouldn't that cause problems with headers that barely fit?

What about the change in driveline angle? It would move your transmission down slightly also.

Thanks. Awesome compliment coming from you. You truly have one of the best looking Trans Am's I have ever seen.

I don't daily drive my Camaro anymore, but I can assure I drive it plenty ever week and I am no slouch in the turns or in the way I drive on the street. But I have only had the k-member on for a month or so. So far so good. I haven't had a single problem.

Is the stock k-member slotted like this where you hook up the control arms?

Hello,

Yes the factory K-Member is also slotted where the A-Arms mount. We did however lengthen those slots an addtional 1/2" for alignment if needed.

Hope that helps!
