What is the best intake for our cars k&n or CAI or should i just keep the stock box and keep putting the K&N filters in? would i be disapointed if a bought a cold air intake?

I'm happy with my K&N FIPK. Just wish it wasn't so costly. On my old Monte with the 3800 engine I made my own fenderwell intake for $20 (not including the filter).

The CAI was no good. It got bent up a bit. All I have left from the CAI is the actual Lid and the CAI cone filter and the 90 degree angled Blue elbow. The lid would be cool if someone wanted to paint it to match their cars color. It has the GM performance billet emblem too.

The CAI kit looks pretty nice. Looks like it would keep the most ambient debris away from the filter and keep. I've installed a lot of K&N's kits and the shield they include is always garbage. Whats so bad about the CAI kit?
