Default is this normal?

Ok so when im driving my car even at low speeds when i apply the brakes the steering colum starts shaking very mildy, but like on the highway im doing 70 and applying the brakes the steering wheel starts to shake alot. is that normal? 08 grand prix gxp

our rotors warp if you breathe on them the wrong way. That would explain the wheel moving. But the entire column? Never heard of that one.

well not the column, just the steering wheel, starts shaking heavily at high speeds when the brakes are just lightly applied

That sounds like warped rotors in the front.

Also you might want to check the insides of your rear tires for cupping / uneven wear. Sometimes if your alignment is off they'll get cupped and cause vibrations during braking or turning at high speeds.

Mine does this too. Want to get them checked out along with my ISS when I take the car in next.
