what chain and gears should i use, you think??

i am aware of the cam being a bit of an install, but if im going to do all the valvetrain im taking the engine out, and porting the headers to. so while its out might as well do the cam.

research the cam, i havent seen any real gains yet from it for such an expensive upgrade. I dont know anything about the gears that acually interests me.
what about exhaust or a cutout and everything else looks good.
there are some things missing but its an awsome start o and what about a cold air intake. I gained a lot from my k&n

I was flipping thru Chevy high-performance Feb. 09 and they had an article on cams. Company named Flowtech Induction was making dod cams. If your thinking of cam change I would look in to it.

this i what they said, all keeping DOD intact. i think its a good price to.

Good morning Adam,

What we will provide to you is a true, custom designed camshaft and valvetrain package that will meet, or exceed your requirements. Below is listed a proven combination of components that we can provide, as well as a few options and their pricing for you to review. Please note that we do not use any overseas or inferior products in our valvetrain kits, only the best, premium components are included.

The price for a custom roller LSX billet camshaft alone is $450 with FREE shipping. We also have listed the pricing and contents of our dual-purpose camshaft kits. The current pricing and components are listed below. Prices listed include standard UPS shipping to the 48 continental US states. Shipping costs outside the US will need to be quoted. Prices for most of the peripherals listed are “plus” shipping and insurance costs, except for the purchase of the camshaft alone or complete “Cam Kits” which have free shipping.

Please fill out the attached “Camshaft Tech Form” as best as you can so we can review all your details and requirements. Your custom camshaft and valvetrain package will be designed and ready for scheduling in about two to three working days. Profile details will only be released after order is placed.

All these “Cam-Only” packages are based on the addition of the usual performance bolt-on pieces that compliment these parts, such as long tube headers, a good exhaust system and a professional tune. We may have a few good tuners available in case you have no one in your area. Check all this out and let me know how we can help. We look forward to working with you on this project.

ROCKER ARMS:

Yella-Terra L92 Roller Rockers: $425

Good morning Adam,

We worked very hard to design and develop these DOD/AFM camshaft kits to make them work flawlessly. The project car we used was well flogged on the dyno with many camshaft profiles being tested before we came up with our packages. Some of our results were documented here: http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/te...lvetrains.html
I'm sorry but this information is proprietary and we're not going to disclose the data we obtained. If you wish to purchase the camshaft package, I can direct you to one of our dealers and you can make arrangements for purchase. You can also obtain the packages directly from us but we do not offer tuning insight as our dealers will. Thank you for your interest in our products.
