Default exhaust mainfolds

Has anyone had their exhaust manifolds extrude honed? With the limited available exhaust out there for these cars I would think this would be a viable option although I have no idea on the price.

Should be easy to do. On a side note there is alot of these simple things we can do for our car. Im sure u might remeber that article in Car Craft about that process that they did to super smoth and harden the gears. i think we should have that done when we rebuild our tranys stronger. Cant remeber what that was called. Might work on the manifolds to. Say if someone went turbo. maybe smooth them up and possibly keep them from cracking further down the road? Just rambling

On my audi there is a replacement exhaust manifold that is made a little different from the factory version in how it flows, But it is Extruded Honed and smooth on the inside makes a big difference on how it looked.

i beleve its micronite if i remember right, i its a really good idea i think its expensive though they only did the differential in carcraft, i think but if you could do it in these cars it could definately cut down on drivetrain loss while making the tranny stonger, its good from every direction

Hi Paul,

We received your inquiry from our website regarding abrasive flow machining and your exhaust manifolds.

This is a good application for you parts and we would like to discuss this with you further.

We would like to invite you to our plant and show you the abrasive flow equipment, and if you can bring your manifolds we can discuss what we can do for you. Depending on what you are looking to do we may be able to enhance the performance of your components.
