Cross Drilled and Slotted Brakes
I just got my new zinc cross-drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic brakes today from jim@brakemotive. I will be doing a write up on the installation of these for anyone that is interested. I'm hoping to get some shop time tomorrow.

on a side note i went to auto zone to find out cost of rotors for my gxp. The picture came up showing cross drilled rotors. I asked him if that is the way the rotors came. He replyed that it said they were vented so yes. I said thank you and walked. out. Vent rotors have nothing to do with them being crossed drilled.

Hmm, I got all 4 plated, slotted, and cross drilled rotors with ceramic pads from the same guy on Ebay. $215.50 shipped... I've had them for about 5000 miles, so far so good. They take a while to break in in the sense that they feel warped. But now they feel just fine. The brake parts are Power Stop.

I bought the premium line powerstop s/d rotors and powerstop ceramic pads and have been very pleased with them. They were $360 shipped from brakemotive, not to mention, they provided excellent customer service.

The PowerStop Drilled and Rotors and Pads are $360 under the same discount rate I am using for the F-Bodys. The Kinetic Rotors with the same Pads are $195 with the LS1 Tech 10% off on our Ebay price. The PowerStop Rotors are American made, and the Kinetics are from China. I do not currently have stock on the lines for this application however I can make a few calls to check if any of my suppliers have them in stock.

Disclaimer- not sure if they're still running the promo, I bought mine a little while back. Regardless, they were great to work with.

RED CHINA???? EEEK!!!.....Well either way they are made like the stockers in that they have the parting line on each vane, they are balanced out, and have that crosshatch pattern which is VERY good for seating pads, so overall I was happy with the initial quality. So far so good with the miles i put on them, like I said it takes time to get them to break in well... Hey it was cheaper than buying stock stuff! I priced it out is came to almost $60 more!
Here are some pics of the product I got.
Oddly enough.... I had to replace my axle that weekend with a NEW one from Advance Auto....that was also made in RED CHINA!!!!....I power braked and pealled out to make sure it didn't snap LOL
Also Changed my transmission fluid with CAMII Yeah I know I need to repaint my engine cover, I'll do that this weekend....I think the salt messed it up.
Got a pic of my rusty transmission pan that came with my car...
And I got a pic of my passenger side head light that was damaged when a deear strolled across the road and I hit it in the ***!

Powerstop
Bad experience when I got my brake pads they were less than OEM thickness and they wore out within a year and squealed alot. Good luck with issues if you have any the owner is an *******. You live in a flat area?

Well......Long Island is a low lying area but it is far from flat....And the oodles of stop and go. When I run up to NE Pa now I get into some large hills... I ahvent had a problem, they acutally got better with age. Not for nothing though, I still saved the old pads(which have about 1/3 left) and rotors.
