Default .83 g's accel
i looked at my meter today and the accel read point 83

i tested it and the reason that number can be hit is because the accel reads if you are going in reverse and stop fast

Sure, acceleration is acceleration, whether it be caused by turning, by slowing, or by increasing speed.
