Default Blown tranny?

For any of you guys that have had your transmissions go can you describe the symptoms? just wondering when your trannys started to go what it felt like and when you actually brought it to the dealer? did you wait for it to completely go?

What symphtomps are you seeing?
Mine has not gone yet, but from what I have read on here some peoples trannys just failed to go back in gear, some had driveability issues, searching for gears, Hard shifts, slow sifts, car bucking.

There is a TSB that you can take to your dealer, they will drop the tranny oil pan and look for shavings. I'll be doing this since mine is staring to buck on the last down shift when slowing down.

Could you post a TSB reference number or anything that I'd be able to specifically ask about? I'm not feeling symptoms, but I'd like to be cautious. Thank you!

I don't have access to the full text of the TSB's and could not find the one posted earlier.
A search on http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr.../tsbsearch.cfm revealed 7 TSB related to the tranny but it does not give full text.
The search is for an 07 though.

I might be paranoid but i dont think i am. shifts at light load and low speed seem to be harder and more noticable. shifts at wide open throttle seem to be slipping but its slight. when going into 4th the car feels like its serching for 4th. like i said its all very slight. just wondering if when theys trannys go they go and are undriveable and thats when to have it replaced or if it rarely becomes undriveable.

Does the RPM's bounce at cruise while on the highway? If so, you will need a new transmission. That was what mine was doing before it **** the bed. The best thing to do is a search and you will find quite a bit of symptoms that may be what you are experiencing. I nursed mine from 48k to 64k with a bad trans. Eventually I lost 2nd and 4th gear. These transmissions suck for a V-8 application. Sad but true...
