Check this video out. Anyone looking to save money, change oil less, and free up a couple horsepower should check this out. My car will soon have all Royal Purple products flowing through it's veins and arteries.

Can you elaborate on the Yuck comment? I think Royal Purple is a great oil.

I ran Mobil 1 synthetic forever and then decided to throw in Royal Purple. I noticed a difference in the sound of my motor lifters are more quiet.

Royal Purple doesn't make a compatable ATF for the Dex VI our cars use. YET. I called them just now and they are developing a fluid but not ready yet.

I have been in contact with a rep at RP and asked him about transmission fluid. He said that Max ATF "IS" compatible with Dexron 3 and 6 and will lower the trans. temps between 12 to 20 degrees. I am going to try this too. I already bought thier oil today. I got it at Pep-Boys and it was only $1.00 more than Mobil 1. I think we are on to something here...

Subject: Re: ATF Compatibilty?

It's compatible, but it is not a GM warranty recognized fluid and is not identical to the Dexron VI.

Ours is a fully synthetic for superior protection and life.
The Dex VI is slightly thinner and a refined hydrocarbon.

I am going to give this a try as my car is out of warranty anyway.

Well, if you want quieter start ups then use the RP. I was impressed as soon as I started the car. Also, check out the bearing test thread. Very impressive!

Default Ok

Then all it is. my dyno moved about an hour away, so I'm gonna go first and get it tested before and after the superchips powerpaq tuner (plus my intake, downpipe, and exhaust). Then I will change the trans and oil and add the radiator coolant and dyno before and after. This product is supposed to create less resistance in the motor so let's see what happens.

DJ,

Check this out. Scroll all the way down. RP does create less resistance and here is proof...

Why wait? All they are going to do is add Dex 6 to the back of the bottle for compatibility. That's what I was told anyway. I have an 05 which is supposed to take Dex 3 anyway.

Ya im pretty sure the 05/06 cars dont require dex VI. I have and 08 still under warrenty so ill wait till they ether make a new fluid, or add that it meets the requirments on the back of the bottle.

Yeah, if I had an 08 and my car was still under warranty I'd be waiting too. Smart move.
