Default Anybody tried this SLR chip?

http://slrmotorsports.com/shop/index...t_detail&p=683

Somehow I have a hard time believing 50hp/50ft/lb for that price, otherwise EVERYBODY would have this. But I'm thinking for that price, if I could get better throttle response and even 5hp/5ft.lb it would be worth it. Anyway, I haven't seen any other threads on this so I thought I'd ask.

Oh yeah, note the asterisk at the bottom where they say they guarantee their advertised gains or money back, lol. Too bad you'd spend much more than that just for the dyno pulls to prove that you didn't get those gains.

If nobody has any experience with this, I might go ahead and give it a shot just for sh*ts and gigs, and to write a review for others.

It's probably like those ebay ones with the resistor that you plug into the maf or whatever.

Yeah. The more I think about it, I start thinking the reason it's so cheap is so people would be willing to try it. I'd probably be better off using that $$ for 2 tanks of gas.

Don't do it. It IS a POS... Spend the money on an actual tune. You WILL get better results.

^I know that, but an actual tune will cost a lot more than $80. I'm honestly surprised, 65 views and nobody's flamed me for even asking about it, lol.

Anyway, just thought I'd throw it out there and see if anybody's actually tried it.

Cav,

Will at Overkill Motorsports is doing tunes for $199.00. I'd at least go that route.

Coming soon is our LS4 V8 reprogrammed computers! We were excited with the release of the first V8 Grand Prix in decades with the 2005 Grand Prix GXP, followed soon by the 06 Impala SS and Monte Carlo SS and are now excited to offer our coming soon computers for those vehicles. With our history of W-Body computer tuning, we've applied our long experience of driveability and transmission improvements to this new LSx V8 engine to improve horsepower up to 20 while remaining on 87 octane, increase fuel economy with DoD and DFCO recalibration and tame the over-exertive torque management. All the features you want at a price that's hard to beat

$199.99

SM,

That was harsh. lol...
