Question Maybe the wrong place

I know this prolly isn't the right place to ask this but I know yous guys are smart so maybe you can help me. I'm trying to change my fuel filter on my 02 tahoe and none of my tools will fit. No part stores in town have one that will fit either. The tools are just to long to fit between the filter and the metal flange. Don't really want to take it to the dealer but dose anyone no how they do it. Do they have a tool or just cut it off and replace the line?

Try cutting the filter out then you can get the ends of the filter out of the line. Use something that doesnt spark when it cuts and be really careful. or try to get a pick or two in there and get it to release.

Mine came off with just flare wrenches and penetrating spray on my truck. Is the filter on the frame rail?

Ya right under the driver door I tryed my 1/2 ton chevy wrench without luck to long. I even cut down a plastic wrench and still couldn't get it. May just cut it but if I still can't get it off then I'm really screwed
