The Marine 2-Stroke? It is working out great. I really noticed a difference in how smooth the car feels. The better gas milage is a plus as well. No negatives that I can find. Thanks for the info. Lew.

I used DEI Header wrap on the crossover pipe, sprayed that with High Temp silicone spray, and made my own cold air intake. The wrap, clamps, and spray cost me about $20-$30, and the parts for my intake cost $64 total. Next spring I'm going to flush my coolant system and re-fill it with distilled water and Redline coolant additive; gonna keep the dex-cool in there for fall/winter.

My buddy has an 00 GTP and when he put on his WizAired CAI, it came with the grommet for IAT sensor pre installed and drilled. All we had to do was stick the sensor into the grommet and it read the temps from inside the airbox. Now, if there was a way to just stick the IAT completely into the air box securely, couldn't this save money on a relocarion kit?

i still think the way to do it is to physically move the MAF to a Cooler spot for instance just inside the CAI BOX as soon as i get my ported intake ill put the TB spacer on and work from there to the intake i made im positive it will show gains thats why they keep the ECU in the airbox after all

well it sucks but i am going back to school in three weeks so modding will be done for the summer ill be compiling parts this winter for doing that and be ready to do some serious work in a few months i really wanted the ported intake in before school started but it just is not in the cards. i may be taking advantage of the lazer cutter at school though and have some other mad scientist projects in mind

Seriously, I haven't ran it yet. I hope to get at least one run in by the time summer ends. I hope to be close to low 13's or high 12's even. I still have a couple things I want to add first.

I'm thinking about putting in an extra heat shield, or maybe redoing the side of the CAI on my K&N to bring the MAF "inside" the CAI area (let the CAI box be the heat shield). Anyone else do this?
In the meantime at the dragstrip I have the hood open all the time between rounds, and lowered the temps to kick on the fans and they run for a while when the key is off. I can be within 20 degrees of air temp fairly quickly.

I just installed my HSRK from Caspers and it works good. Car felt peppy all day like when you first drive it before it gets soaked with heat. Worth the 50 bucks IMO. It was 87* out today and humid too.

I'm a little slow apparently, but I think I'm getting it. The harness is to bypass the IAT sensor integrated with the MAF and use a separate sensor which you could possibly put in the fenderwell or right in front of the air filter. Caspers did not show a pic of the wiring adapter and my brain could not stretch out far enough to envision it.
Do you have a pic of what this looks like installed? Where did the sensor end up?

I just did the IAT thing with the wiring adaptor from Caspers. I have a homemade aluminum box CAI with K&N cone filter. I drilled a hole and used a grommet to feed the wire and new sensor into the box. I drilled a 1/2" hole into the rubber end (nose) of the filter and put the sensor in there. Works great, looks great. I must have gained about 100 hp !! Ok, NOT, but don't experience that hot engine power loss.

I have a fenderwell intake. There is an aluminum tube that is about 6" long that connects my filter and the intake tube. I drilled a hole in the aluminum tube, used a grommet and popped the sensor in there. For my application I had to use thier IAT extension harness to get it all the way in the fender. If you have a CAI you don't need the extension harness. It's worth the 50 bucks...
