Default Crankshaft reluctor wheel teeth?

Anyone know how many "teeth" are on the crankshaft reluctor wheel that the crank position sensor gets info from? Are there differences between a 2006 or 2007 motor in this aspect?

I found this info, "Early LS engines mostly used 24-tooth wheels and upgraded a few years ago to 58-tooth". Not sure if it applies to us and if we are in fact 58-tooth on all LS4 motors for all years. I have found that 2006 motor uses a different part number for the crank position sensor vs. a 2007 motor.

Thanks!

I belive the cars with the newer E67 computer system use the 58 tooth wheel.

07, but not all. The easiest way is to just check your PCM, E40 old/ 24 tooth. E67 new 58 tooth.
One easy method is to look for the MAP sensor, E40 has it in manifold neck at the TB, E67 has it towards the rear of the manifold.

E67 has 2 longer plugs side by side plus one short one and the other ECM has 2 shorter plugs with a longer one in the middle I think.

Great, so basically if you put an 07 LS4 motor in an 06 you're pretty much screwed? Unless you maybe swap ECM's (would require a reflash due to vin) or have the 24 tooth wheel put on the 07's crank, which would more than likely require a tear down.....

Lingenfelter has a box to fix that I guess.

Some people have had issues using it though.
